External envelopes

External envelopes (soldiers, prisoners, diplomats and others) belong to no locality. They are counted in national totals, so those match the official results, and they are left out of maps, rankings and locality comparisons. They were 5.5% of valid votes in the 18th Knesset and 9.6% in the 25th.

Turnout

Official turnout includes external envelopes. In-locality turnout is votes at locality ballot boxes only, so it is lower than the official figure (25th Knesset: 63.8% in localities vs 70.6% official). Which one is shown is always labelled.

Party lineage

Ballot letters are not a stable key (כן was Kadima in the 18th Knesset and National Unity in the 25th). Each list is linked to a party family with a confidence and a note. Lists with no link stay unlinked. A joint list is shown as a series of its own. Its votes are never split between the parties on it. On trend charts, a hollow marker is the share of the whole joint list.

Employees in top wage deciles
EmployeesWage_decile9Up
income%definition unconfirmedDefinition not stated; values track wages (Modi'in 41%, Herzliya 35%, Bnei Brak 7%), plausibly the share of employees earning above the national 9th-decile threshold. Do not label as 'top 10%' until confirmed

Employees as share of those who worked
Empl_pcnt
work%confirmedVerified: Empl + SelfEmpl averages 99.7 in the 143 localities with 10,000+ residents. The shortfall is in kibbutzim (e.g. Be'eri, Gan Shmuel, Sasa, Yotvata, Mishmar HaEmek), probably because members are a separate category

Statistical rules

Locality rankings need at least 500 valid votes. A comparison between two elections is computed in the browser from the two election files and is never stored as a table. A locality-level association does not describe how individuals vote.

Known limits

There is no ballot-box detail in this version, because box IDs do not line up between elections. Large cities hide very different neighbourhoods. Demographic figures are snapshots (Census 2022, clusters 2019 and 2021) and do not match every election year exactly.
